Kargil Vijay Diwas Observed Amid Chaos As Lok Sabha, Bihar Assembly Adjourned Till 2 PM

On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, both Lok Sabha and the Bihar Assembly paid heartfelt tributes to the martyrs who laid down their lives in the 1999 Kargil War. The morning session in Parliament began solemnly, with members across parties observing a moment of respect. However, the proceedings quickly descended into chaos as the opposition raised slogans, carried placards, and disrupted the session over various pending issues.Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla expressed disappointment at the continued disruption and urged members to maintain the decorum of the House. He emphasized that Question Hour belongs to the people and must not be wasted due to political disagreements. Following the uproar, Lok Sabha proceedings were adjourned till 2 PM.A similar scene unfolded in the Bihar Assembly, where opposition members protested over the recent CAG report highlighting unaccounted spending of ₹49,649 crore during the 2023-24 fiscal. With tempers flaring, the Speaker adjourned proceedings till the afternoon.Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha continued with the oath-taking ceremony of new members, away from the unrest seen in the lower house. The ongoing Monsoon Session has already seen repeated disruptions, raising concerns about legislative productivity.
