'Hooligan, Women Harasser...': Rabri Devi's Big Charge On Bihar Dy CM Samrat Choudhary

Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Rabri Devi on Friday came down heavily on Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary for his remarks on Lalu Prasad Yadav.

On Thursday, Choudhary and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav engaged in a heated argument in the assembly over the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Bihar.

During the argument, Choudhary made a personal comment on Yadav, saying his father is a criminal, in reference to Lalu Prasad Yadav.

On Friday, Lalu's wife and former Bihar CM Rabri Devi slammed Choudhary, saying he was a hooligan who used to harass girls.

"He used to do hooliganism since childhood at Boring Road... I have seen him since his childhood. He used to harass girls there...," she said while speaking to reporters in Patna.

Spat Between Tejashwi, Samrat

During the Bihar assembly's monsoon session that concluded on Friday, Tejashwi flagged concerns about alleged irregularities in the voter verification process and the Election Commission’s ongoing SIR ahead of the state assembly polls.

The RJD leader questioned the government over an FIR booked against a journalist who reported that BLOs are signing forms themselves during the process.

“There is fraud happening in voter verification," Yadav claimed. "BLOs are signing themselves. Who are you to file FIR against journalists?" he added.

Choudahry responded with a personal attack, saying, "Who are you? The one whose father is a criminal, what will he say? Get lost… you’re a lootera – lootera… what will he say?"

The Deputy CM's remark led to an uproar in the assembly while Chief Minister Nitish Kumar remained silent during the entire proceeding.
