These are world’s 5 most expensive missiles, country that possesses all of them is…, names of missiles are…

Recent conflicts between Iran and Israel or the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, have highlighted the importance of advanced fighter jets and missiles. During the Israel-Iran conflict, the Middle East country’s powerful ballistic missile attacks were not detected by Tel Aviv’s powerful air defence system the Iron Dome. During Operation Sindoor, India targeted important targets with its BrahMos missile, which is almost invisible to Pakistan’s air defence systems and radars. There are mainly two types of powerful missiles ballistic and cruise missiles. The advanced technologies of these missiles determine their prices, which start from lakhs to crores. Do you know the most expensive missiles in the world? Let’s check out these five of the world’s most expensive missiles.

Trident Missile (USD89.7 million)

The ‘Made in America’ Trident Missile is the most expensive missile in the world. As per a report by Brookings, the cost of one missile is USD89.7 million (approx Rs 7,74,80,79,690). Considered to be US Navy’s most advanced missile, the Trident is a ballistic missile which is launched from a submarine. It is 44 feet long and weights around 80 tons.

Patriot Missile (USD3 million)

Patriot is a US surface-to-air anti-ballistic missile with long range missile capabilities. A Patriot missile costs USD3 million (Rs 25,92,34,136). It has been in service since 1981. During the first Gulf War, then US President George H.W. Bush claimed that it had a 97 percent success rate. After further study, independent analysis showed that it actually had a success rate of only 10 percent. Israel is said to have been so dissatisfied with Patriot that they prepared for retaliation against Iraq regardless of US objections.

It is a surface-to-air anti-ballistic missile which also has long-range capabilities. The missile cost USD3 million (Rs 25,92,34,136). The US force has been using the missile since 1981. The missile got its fame with its performance in the Gulf War.

Israel reportedly expressed significant dissatisfaction with the Patriot system, leading them to consider a response against Iraq despite potential objections from the United States.

Tomahawk Cruise Missile (USD2 million)

Made in the US, the Tomahawk cruise missile is a long-range subsonic missile. It is famous among the US troops because it is an all-weather missile and can be used in any weather. The cost of the missile is USD2 million (Rs 17,27,99,400). The US designed the Tomahawk as a low-altitude, medium-to-long-range weapon that can be easily launched from the surface. The US soldiers have been using this missile since 1983. It is also in active service with the Royal Navy.

Medium Range Air to Surface Cruise Missile (USD569,000)

The Medium Range Air to Surface Cruise Missile (MRASM) is currently undergoing testing and has not yet been integrated into the US military. Each missile is priced at USD 569,000 (approx Rs 48,385,456). It is a variant of the Tomahawk missile, identified by the AGM 109 H/L designation. In comparison to the tactical version of the Tomahawk cruise missile, the MRASM has a significantly shorter range.

High Speed Anti Radiation Missile (USD284,000)
