According to the report of Storyboard18, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has identified 25 apps that show objectionable ads including pornographic content. The government found that these apps and websites violate many rules including Section 67 and Section 67A of the IT Act, 2000, Section 294 of the Indian Justice Code, 2023 and Section 4 of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986.

According to the report, the apps and websites that the government has banned due to objectionable content include ALTT, ULLU, Big Shots app, Desiflix, Boomex, Navarasa Lite, Gulab app, Kangan app, Bull app, Jalva app, Wow Entertainment, Look Entertainment, Hitprime, Feneo, ShowX, Sol Talkies, Adda TV, HotX VIP, Hulchul app, MoodX, NeonX VIP, Fugi, Mojflix, and Triflix.
