J&K Govt Appoints Enquiry Officer To Probe GMC Srinagar Incident

Srinagar, July 25: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has appointed Baseer ul Haq Chaudhary, Mission Director, National Health Mission J&K, as the Enquiry Officer to investigate the recent law and order incident that occurred on July 23 at Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar.
As per a Government order issued by the Health and Medical Education Department, the officer will examine the circumstances of the incident, assess its causes, and look into the reasons behind the closure of Operating Theatres. He has also been tasked with identifying any lapses, recommending improvements in grievance redressal and administration, and suggesting steps to prevent such incidents in future. The report is to be submitted within 15 days.
