Youth booked for ‘raping’ minor in Ludhiana

A youth has been booked by the police for allegedly raping a minor girl for almost seven months. The accused was possessing some obscene videos and pictures of the girl, with which he used to blackmail her and forced her into physical relationship. Whenever the girl refused to maintain physical relationship the accused would threaten to make her videos viral on social media.

The Ladhowal police station yesterday registered a case against the accused identified as Sukhwinder Singh, a resident of Khaira Bet village near Ladhowal. In a complaint submitted to the Ladhowal police station, the father of the victim said that on July 24, his daughter was alone at home. When he came home and knocked on the bedroom door, Sukhwinder came out and on being asked what he was doing inside, he pushed the victim’s father and ran away from the spot. Later, he found his daughter crying in the room.

When he asked her daughter about the reason of her crying, she told him that Sukhvinder had raped her and had been forcing her to have physical relation with him for the last seven months by threatening her with obscene pictures.
