BJD corporator held for rape of minor in Odisha; was absconding since July 23; arrested from Balasore

Amaresh Jena, a Biju Janata Dal (BJD) corporator, has been arrested by Bhubaneswar police. The arrest is regarding the alleged rape of a minor girl in 2023. Jena was absconding since the case was registered against him. Police also arrested five associates for allegedly aiding his escape.
