HARIDWAR, July 27: The two day camp organized by Patanjali Wellness Centre at Patanjali Yogpeeth here to provide artificial limbs and assistive equipment to differently-abled individuals culminated today.
About 250 differently-abled persons benefitted from the camp.
The camp was inaugurated by Swami Ramdev who said that empowering every individual to become self-reliant is the real success.
“The camp was organized as a humanitarian and spiritual effort,” he stated.
A handout stated that this unique initiative is part of Patanjali’s broader movement of Swadeshi and Swasth Bharat envisioned by Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna.
It further stated that the goal is not only physical empowerment through artificial limbs but also to instill spiritual strength and self-dependence in every human being.
The organizers decided that such camps will be organized after every 3-4 months.
Swami Ramdev said: “They are not Divyangs but divine souls. They don’t need sympathy, they need empowerment.”
Addressing the differently-abled participants present at the camp, Acharya Balkrishna said, “Patanjali’s goal is not only Ayurvedic health but to make every individual self-reliant.”
The event was successfully conducted with the support of organizations like Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti, Uddhar Sewa Samiti, Daksh Technicians and various Patanjali workers. For the camp, detailed measurements and records of all participants were maintained in advance for accurate fitting, physiotherapy and other services.
The purpose of the event was not just to help physically but also to strengthen the spirit of self-reliance and remove the feeling of helplessness among Divyangjans.
The camp was supported by Swami Vidahdev, Swami Punyadev, Pooja and many others.
The organizing team from Patanjali management including Sanjay, Ruchika Aggarwal, Shruti, Pradyuman, Ravi, Divyanshu, Krishna, Niharika, Divya, Deendayal and others also contributed to the success of the camp.
