Born on 26 August 1973, Inder Kumar started his Bollywood career in 1996 with the film Masoom. He was one of the most prominent actors in early 90s. Films like Masoom, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi and Tirchi Topiwale cemented his position as one of the most talented stars. In his career that spanned for nearly two decades, Inder worked in over 20 films.

He also had a close association with Salman Khan due to their collaborations in films like Wanted, Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge, Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye. Apart from films, the actor also ventured into television and played the brief role of Mihir Virani in Ekta Kapoor’s popular TV show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

The incident that led Inder Kumar’s downfall

One incident ruined Inder Kumar’s career completely. During the shooting of Partho Ghosh’s film Maseeha, the actor fell from a moving helicopter while performing a stunt sequence. He was portraying second fiddle to Suniel Shetty and was expected to rise with this film in the industry.

Unfortunately, doctors advised him bed rest for three years, which led him loss of work opportunities. In 2004 interview with Times of India, Inder Kumar narrated the incident and shared, “I fell from a helicopter while shooting for the film Masiha and I was bed-ridden for the next three years. With a broken vertebrae, doctors in Mumbai said that my chances of getting back on my feet are slim.”

Inder Kumar also had a controversial past

Later, the actor was landed in a legal controversy. In 2014, he was accused and arrested in a rape case. In an interview with Mid-Day, the actor addressed, “When I got arrested, my daughter fell ill. My wife, Pallavi, asked for help to bail me out, but no one came forward.”

While elaborating the situation in the same interview, He had said, “It is difficult for me to get a house on rent now. My stuff is lying in a warehouse and we are living at a friend’s place. Only one person stood by us, Dolly Bindra, other than her, my wife and I didn’t receive a single phone call from anyone in the film industry.”

In 2017, Inder Kumar passed away at the age of 44 after suffering a cardiac arrest. The tragedy occurred at his Andheri’s Four Bungalows.
