Recently, her mother, Soni Razdan, revealed shocking details about her grandfather living in Adolf Hitler’s concentration camps. Taking it to Instagram, Alia’s mother shared the horrific experience of her grandfather’s rebellion against Hitler.

Talking about the ongoing tragedy of Palestine and Israel, Alia Bhatt’s mother, Soni Razdan, said that she was grateful that her grandfather Karl Hoelzer didn’t live to witness the tensions in Gaza. She revealed the irony behind how her grandfather fought for the rights of jews under Hitler’s atrocities, and today what is happening is nothing less than disturbing.

Soni Razdan penned, “A recent reel featuring the Jewish Australian actress Miriam Margoyles has pushed me to write this post, and at this point. She chillingly states that Hitler won. Because he made the Jews like him. That is the saddest thing I have read in a long time. Whether you agree or disagree…. It is a terrifying indictment.”

She further penned, “This is also actually a continuation of an earlier post about my mother and grandmother. Of course, my grandfather is everywhere in it. They don’t make many like him anymore. But let us not despair, because some speak out, and those who put their lives on the line to report.”

Soni revealed, “My heart goes out to everyone who does. More power to all of you. A world war was fought for what was right and what was just. Many died, but many were saved. I am proud that my grandfather was on the right side of history. I do hope that the rest of the world will follow sooner rather than later.”

Alia Bhatt’s mother highlighted how her grandfather Karl Hoelzer published newspaper against the atrocities and dictatorship of Adolf Hitler. She penned, “They distributed it as widely as they could and of course, the inevitable happened… One day, he was found out. They arrested him. He was thrown into prison and later into a concentration camp, where he suffered greatly and saw terrible things.”

Soni highlighted that a section of Jews opposes the atrocities against Palestine. “Very few had the courage that my grandfather had,” penned Alia Bhatt’s mother. Soni revealed that she feels connected to the Palestine family since she shared a similar history with her grandfather.
