Kriti Sanon is considered one of the most versatile actresses in the industry. For over a decade, the actress has been winning hearts with her captivating performances and incredible screen-presence. She started her acting career with Telugu movie 1: Nenokkadine, and stepped into Hindi film industry the same year with Heropanti, alongside Tiger Shroff.

Lust Stories
Before Kiara Advani, Kriti Sanon was first offered to be a part of Netflix anthology, Lust Stories. In one of the episodes of Koffee With Karan Season 7, director-producer Karan Johar had opened up about the difficulties he faced while casting someone to play Kiara’s role in film, “I had offered it to Kriti Sanon and she said that her mom didn’t allow her. I thought everybody’s mom would stand in line, not allowing their daughters,” Johar said. While, Sanon refused the role, Advani accepted it and gave a memorable performance.
Malang
According to News 18, Director Mohit Suri’s first choice was Kriti Sanon to play the lead role opposite Aditya Roy Kapoor in Malang. However, the actress had to turned down the offer as she was already committed to two other projects at the time (Panipat and Housefull 4). The portrayal of Sara Nambiar then went on to Disha Patani, leaving audiences impressed with her performance in Suri’s action thriller.
Haseen Dillruba
Before Taapsee Pannu, Producer-director Aanand L. Rai had approached Kriti Sanon to portray the lead role of Rani Saxena in Netflix’s Haseen Dillruba. After saying yes to the film, Sanon decided to back out due to bold scenes involved in the film.
Half Girlfriend
Shraddha Kapoor wasn’t the first choice for the big-screen adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s novel, Half Girlfriend. The makers wanted to cast Kriti Sanon, but the actress refused the film due to commitment issues. When asked about the same, Sanon told Indian Express, “As of now, no I am not. The way it happens with me is you sign one project, and my motive is to give 100 percent to it. I’ve already signed a film with Sushant so I could not have committed my 100 percent for some other movie.”
Singh Is Bliing
Kriti Sanon was first approached to play the role in Akshay Kumar starrer Singh Is Bliing. However, due to constant delays, the actress was forced to walk out of the project. The makers eventually roped in model-actress Amy Jackson. Years later, Sanon got an opportunity to share screen-space with Kumar in Bachchhan Paandey and Housefull 4.
