Rohtak varsity hosts summer school on artificial intelligence
The department of mathematics at Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, hosted a summer school on artificial intelligence (AI), an intensive four-week programme.
Designed by Ruhil Future Technologies (RFT) to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial application, the programme marked a significant step towards shaping future-ready AI professionals. The curriculum was divided into four key phases. The students were introduced to the fundamentals of AI, its real-life applications and concepts such as AQ, EQ, and IQ along with Python programming in the first week.The second week focused on machine learning and its various models.
During the third week, the students learned agile methodology and worked on game-development projects.
The final week offered hands-on practical training, preparing the students to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios. The concluding ceremony was chaired by the MDU Vice-Chancellor, Prof Rajbir Singh, who emphasised the university’s commitment to industry-aligned learning.
Prof SC Malik, Dean, faculty of physical sciences, Prof Divya Malhan, director, career counselling and placement cell, and Prof Sumeet Gill, head, department of mathematics, were also present.
Addressing the students, Anshul Ruhil, co-founder of Ruhil Holding, announced plans to launch AI-based certificate courses and internship programmes across different departments at the MDU under its industry readiness programme.
“These initiatives aim to continue empowering students with practical skills and future-oriented learning,” he said.
