School shines in PISA-based test

Sat Paul Mittal School, Ludhiana, achieved a new benchmark in academic excellence in Indi’s 1st Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA)-based test for schools (PBTS) conducted from November 2024 to January 2025. PISA, conducted by the OECD Paris, is the world’s most

trusted measure of student learning outcomes.

While national PISA assesses countries, PISA for Schools provides individual schools with global benchmarking and actionable insights to drive meaningful improvement in student learning. The results establish Sat Paul Mittal School amongst the top-performing schools with scores comparable to highest performing education systems in the PISA.

In addition to the scores in cognitive domains in reading, mathematics and science, the test gave insights into the overall student achievement, equity, engagement, and well-being.

The school’s performance was commendable, with a score of 543 in mathematics, 537 in science and 516 in reading. Overall, students performed well in all three domains.
