SSC Changes Dates Of Skill And Proficiency Tests; Read Official Notice Here

SSC 2024: The Staff Selection Commission, SSC, has changed the dates of the Annual Proficiency Test, 2024, and the Skill Test (Skill Test of Selection Post Examination, Phases XI/2023 and XII/2024). The exams, which were initially set for August 3 and 4, 2025, will now take place on August 4 and 5, 2025.

The official notice states, "Candidates are requested to refer to the Important Notice dated 23.07.2025, uploaded on the Commission's website." The Annual Proficiency Test, 2024 and Skill Test of Selection Post Examination, Phase-XI/2023 & Phase-XII/2024 will now be held on August 4th and 5th, 2025, rather than the previously announced dates of August 3rd and 4th, 2025."

According to the previous notification, Candidates who have applied for various categories of posts under Selection Posts Examination across different Regional Offices of SSC, will be issued Admission Certificate(s) by the respective Regional Offices to which the post(s) belong. However, candidates may choose to appear from only one region that is convenient for them, provided that such post(s) have the same requirements, norms, and standards of Skill Test (Typing/Stenography/DEST).

The performance of candidate in such skill tests will be considered for processing their results of all related categories of posts where the criteria/norms/standards of skill test are one and the same, the notice further reads.

If an applicant takes the Skill Test more than once in separate SSC areas for different Selection Post categories that have the same criteria, norms, or standards, only the results from their first attempt will be used to process the results for all of those categories. Because of this, applicants are highly urged to take the Skill Test from only one area for all Selection Posts that have identical skill test requirements (Typing/Stenography/DEST). From the Selection Post Examination Phase-XII/2024 forward, these rules and instructions will apply.
