Gurugram Shocker! Labourer Hanging Upside Down, Beaten Up With Sticks By Contractor; Police Issue Probe After Video Goes Viral
Gurugram: A disturbing video is sending shockwaves among netizens, which is said to be from Sector 37 of Gurugram. The video shows a labourer getting brutally beaten while suspended upside down in an unknown basement by four people, visible in the video. The incident is claimed to have occurred back in June 2025, but the video went viral on July 28. Gurugram police initiated an investigation soon after the video began circulating on the Internet.

Netizens claim that the man getting beaten in the video is a migrant labourer and is being physically assaulted by his contractor. The claims also say that the man tried to file a complaint against the accused, but he was abducted due to political pressure. However, FPJ could not verify the video and the claims yet. According to sources, the contractor himself claims to be close to a Union minister from Haryana, and his wife is said to be a High Court lawyer. He was constantly threatening the victim and tried to hush up the conflict.

The video shows a labourer suspended upside down in what looks like the basement of a building while a few people around me are having a conversation. One man can be seen tying the labourer to the pillar of the building. Another man can be seen beating the labourer with a stick in his hand. As the video pans, it shows many workers witnessing the physical assault, but no one intervenes in the matter.

Action by police:
Soon after the video went viral, Gurugram police took suo motu cognizance of the matter and registered an FIR against unknown persons. Later, 4 people were arrested. However, the police have not revealed their identity. Police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar has said that on 28 July 2025, a video came to light on social media that some people beating a person. The police have not received any complaint in this regard yet, nor has any victim come in contact with the police.
