Football meet: Rayansh scores a brace in Tribune School win

Rayansh scored a brace to help The Tribune School log an easy 2-0 win over Shivalik Public School, Sector 41, at the boys’ U-14 Inter-School Football Tournament. He posted the opener in the 28th minute, followed by his final goal in the 35th minute. St Soldier’s School logged a 4-0 win over Government Model Senior Secondary School, Manimajra. Divyansh (12th, 15th) lead the team, while Khranshu (20th) and Agyapal (24th) scored a goal each. Saupin’s School outplayed DAV Senior Secondary School, Sector 8, by seven goals. Reyansh (5th, 8th, 20th, 24th) scored maximum goals, while Arjun (15th) and Medhansh (28th) and Aahan (32nd) netted a goal each.

Meanwhile, in the boys’ U-14 Inter-school Basketball Meet, Manas scored 16 points to help New Public School post a 36-34 win over Strawberry Fields High School. Viyaan (21 points) was the top performer for Strawberry Fields. Delhi Public School posted a 12-6 win over Sri Guru Harkrishan Model School as Ranvijay scored maximum 4 points. Shivansh remained the top performer for the losing side.

St Joseph’s School marched ahead with a 25-9 verdict against Vivek High School. Abhav (11 points) starred in the team’s win, while Athrav gathered maximum 8 points for the losing side. RIMT Manimajra, defeated Gurukul Global, Manimajra, 31-12. Rishabh (15 points) alone took the side to victory, while Mrisul contributed seven points for Gurukul Global.

In the girls’ U-14 event, New Public School defeated Gurukul Global 26-12 with Chandni putting her best foot forward. Ayanna shone for Gurukul Global. Sacred Heart School posted a 30-7 win over Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27. Naisha remained the main contributor for the winning side, while Maarya performed for the losing side.

St Stephen’s win chess title

The boys’ U-14 chess team of St Stephen’s School posted a 3-2 narrow win over Shivalik Public School to win the inter-school tournament. Saupin’s School won the third position by defeating Chitkara International School 3-2. Meanwhile, in the boys’ U-14 cricket meet, AKSIPS defeated Government Model Senior Secondary School, Manimajra, by 39 runs and DAV School posted a 81-run win over PMLSD Public School, Sector 32. Delhi Public School logged a 10-wicket win over GMSSS and Ankur School defeated SGGSPS by seven wickets. — TNS
