Divyang kids celebrate Hariyali Teej
The Koshish unit of Utthan Sansthan came alive with colour and joy as specially abled children celebrated Hariyali Teej recently with great fervour and excitement.
The celebration witnessed the active participation of children and staff alike, who immersed themselves in the festivities, enjoying traditional songs and swinging on the symbolic ‘Teej jhoolas’.
The event aimed to create an inclusive environment where every child felt connected to culture, tradition, and society.
Institute director Anju Bajpai extended Teej greetings to all, and said Hariyali Teej was traditionally celebrated on the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Sawan.
“The objective of organising these events is to ensure that differently-abled children never feel isolated. They deserve to enjoy every festival with dignity and joy. It is the collective responsibility of society to support and encourage them at every step,” Bajpai said.
Educationist Dr PK Bajpai interacted with the children on the occasion, highlighting the cultural importance of Teej.
“Through such programmes, children are introduced to the richness of our traditions. It helps them stay rooted in their cultural identity and develop pride in their heritage,” said the educationist said.
Koshish unit principal Ravindra Mishra said, “These events are a step towards fostering cultural belongingness among children.”
