Union Education Minister virtually opens PM Shri KV in Mandi
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today virtually inaugurated the newly constructed building of PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya at Sandhol in Dharampur of Mandi district. Pradhan addressed students, parents and teachers, highlighting the key features of the National Education Policy (NEP) and underscoring the government’s commitment to strengthening education in rural areas.
In his virtual message, the Union Minister said that the modern infrastructure would not only provide enhanced learning facilities to the students of Sandhol but also serve as a step forward in fulfilling the objectives of the NEP. “This institution will play a vital role in empowering the rural youth and integrating them with the mainstream of quality education,” he added.
Dharampur MLA Chander Shekhar lit the ceremonial lamp before Goddess Saraswati to formally open the function. Varun Mitra, Deputy Commissioner of KVS Gurgaon Region, honoured the MLA with a traditional shawl and cap.
The MLA also addressed health and sports development issues in the region. He said that specialist doctors, including paediatricians, gynaecologists, ophthalmologists and lab technicians would now visit the Sandhol Hospital thrice a month on August 1, 12, 21 and September 2, 11 and 22.
