SCOPE holds strategic meeting with ILO, IOE

JAMMU, July 29: In a significant move to foster global employer relations, Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) leadership held a strategic meeting with key international stakeholders.
K P Mahadevaswamy, Chairman SCOPE and CMD NBCC, along with Atul Sobti, Director General SCOPE, met with Roberto Suárez Santos, Secretary General of the International Organization of Employers (IOE), Geneva; Michiko Miyamoto, Director ILO South Asia; and Ravindra Peiris, Senior Specialist ILO, in the presence of senior representatives from ILO and SCOPE.
The deliberations emphasized the need for collaborative efforts between SCOPE, ILO and IOE to build employer capacities in India. Key focus areas identified included micro-credentialing, skill development, promotion of responsible business conduct and ensuring a just transition in the evolving workplace landscape.
Both IOE and ILO assured their support in helping SCOPE strengthen its member base through sustained engagement and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
