Mumbai: Nallasopara Teacher Sprays Colin On 8-Year-Old Student's Private Part, Investigation Leads To Permanent Closure Of School

A shocking incident from Nallasopara near Mumbai has been the talk of the town from last few days where a teacher, identified as Nidah Nizauddin, from Howard English School of Nallasopara allegedly Sprayed Colin, a commercial and household glass cleaner on the private part of an 8-year-old boy following to a complaint about odour. When parents complained about the incident and seek apology from the teacher, an investigation by State Education Department revealed serious misconduct by the school and has ordered for an immediate closure.

The sickening incident was reported on July 23, when a teacher allegedly sprayed household cleanser on the private part of an 8-year-old student in response to the complaint of foul odour in the classroom. When the parents of the student came to know about it, they seek an official apology and filed a complaint. The incident sparked outrage among parents and locals.

Investigation By State Education Department

The Howard English School came under the radar of the State Education Department, when it turned out that the school is issueing Leaving Certificate (LC) from a different Aurangabad-based school, raising serious concerns about Howard School’s registration and legitimacy, especially since the student had studied there for 3 years.

School Gets Shut Down Orders

Following the report, the Palghar Zilla Parishad ordered a Taluka-level investigation on the incident. After significant developements, the authorities have issued a notice to the school and ordered for immediate closure.

As reported by Mumbai Mirror, Deputy Education Officer of Palghar District Secondary, said, “A notice has been issued to the school to be shut, and the investigation into the matter is ongoing. Despite the notice, if the school remains functional, an FIR will be lodged against the school."

Speaking to the Mirror, the victim’s mother said, “I am happy that the department has taken swift action on the matter. I wish justice for my child and don’t want such a thing to happen to any other parent. Let the investigation conclude, and depending on the findings, we will proceed further.”

A further meeting has been schedule between parents and district education officials on July 31 at Mantralaya.
