Select the ‘Changes/Correction in PAN’ option.

Fill in details like PAN number, name, date of birth and email and generate a 15-digit token number.

Select the details to be changed and enter the correct information.

Upload the required documents like identity card, address proof, proof of date of birth and photo/signature.

Pay the fee online and submit the form.

Download the acknowledgement slip and track the update status from this number.

Offline process also available

Those who want offline process can fill the “Request for New PAN Card or/and Changes or Correction in PAN Data” form and submit it at the nearest PAN center. Proof of identity, address and date of birth and old PAN card are required with the form. After paying the fee, an acknowledgement slip is received.

How much fee will be charged for PAN card update or correction depends on the changes made in it and the type of PAN card.

For e-PAN only: Around ₹101 (including GST) for those residing in India and around ₹1,018 for those residing abroad
