Indore: State Mahila Congress Chief Meets Qadri’s Family, Seeks Judicial Probe

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Acting president of Madhya Pradesh Mahila Congress Noori Khan visited the residence of Congress corporator Anwar Qadri in Badwali Chowki area here on Thursday. She met Qadri’s family and later visited the police station to speak to his daughter Ayesha Qadri, who has also been named in a case.

Later, talking to the media, Khan alleged that the action taken against Qadri and his daughter was politically motivated and unjust. She demanded a judicial inquiry into the entire matter, calling the police action ‘misuse of power’.

Anwar Qadri has been accused of funding ‘love jihad’ activities and was arrested from Jammu and Kashmir. His daughter was earlier detained in Delhi.

Police reportedly charged Ayesha for allegedly contacting her father using a SIM card acquired through false documentation. The family has claimed that Anwar Qadri was wrongly accused and that his daughter, a lawyer preparing for the civil judge exam, was falsely implicated.

Noori Khan questioned the intent behind targeting the family and accused the state government of vendetta politics. She said, “Such treatment of a young woman pursuing a legal career raises serious doubts about the administration’s approach.”

Khan returned to Ujjain after her meetings and reiterated her demand for a fair judicial investigation.
