Talking to reporters here, today, along with BJP UT president, Sat Sharma, party general secretary, Baldev Singh Billawaria he said with the court ruling on this issue the Congress party has been unmasked now for hatching a deliberate conspiracy against the Hindus of this country just for its vote bank politics.
He also blamed the party of believing on the Pakistani social media narrative instead of the trusting the reports of Indian army generals on Operation Sindoor. “Instead of lauding Indian Army and security forces for Operation Sindoor and operation Mahadev who destroyed military installations and terrorist camps in Pakistan by breaking the back of terrorism, the Congress and NC is toeing the narrative of Pakistani social media”. “You (Congress and NC) have no trust in Indian generals but you talk of Pakistani social media,” he added.
Chugh gave an open challenge to Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti to have a debate on law and order situation in J&K during their four terms of rule and that of BJP rule since 2019.
He asked who is responsible for turmoil in J&K and forced exodus of minorities from Kashmir.
While reiterating Modi Government’s repeated stand that talks and terror can’t go together Chugh also said that water and blood can’t flow together. Making scathing attack on dynasts, he said three families eclipsed J&K with their misrule and wrong policies.
Chugh said in recent elections the vote percentage of BJP was more than all other parties but NC got more number of seats to rule the UT. Instead of talking that his Government is powerless, Omar Abdullah should present a report card of nine months of his Government. “You should tell the people what your Ministers have done so far. Except one Department all other departments are with you (NC). The PWD, Health, Power etc are with you and the Government should show its performance,” he added.
Chugh said the NC should fulfill its poll promises made in election manifesto. “Instead of beating about the bush and mislead people Omar Abdullah should keep the report card of his Government before masses”, he added.
In response to a question that NC is alleging that crime increased in J&K after annulling of controversial Article 370, Chugh said Omar Abdullah and Farooq Abdullah should concentrate on its poll manifesto. “What happened to its promises of one lakh jobs to be given to J&K youth and bringing revolution in Health Sector”.
“BJP gave two AIIMS and six medical colleges besides launched health insurance scheme,” he said, asking NC to refrain from playing victim card.
Alleging that NC Government failed on every front, Chugh warned that those supplying drugs and narcotics to youth of J&K can’t be spared and police will firmly act against those who are destroying children of J&K. He also asked Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti to clarify whether they were with those who are supplying drugs to children or with those who want ban on it.
Chugh asked Omar Abdullah and Dr Farooq Abdullah to clarify how many deaths and how much destruction took place during their tenure as CMs of J&K. There was stone pelting in the UT and calendars were issued for bandhs and strikes but now there is no stone pelting, no bandhs and strikes, he added.
