Who is Patricia Narayan?

Patricia was born in a small town Nagercoil in Tamil Nadu. When she was 17 her family forced her to marry against her will. The man she was married to was an alcoholic and violent. She became the victim of domestic violence and faced financial problems due to her husband’s alcohol addiction. Later, she gathered the courage to take care of her children’s future.

From Cart to Culinary Empire

In the year 1980, Patricia opened a small mobile cart on Marina Beach in Chennai. She used to sell tea, coffee, juice and snacks to run the household expenses. At the beginning, she was able to earn only 50 paise a day. Gradually, her hard work paid off, and she started expanding her business.

Her sheer hard work and hunger to achieve success led her to the position of director of the Nelson Manickam Road Restaurant of Sangeeta Group. Her experience with a mobile cart became the foundation of her business.

A Shadow of Tragedies

After the death of her husband in 2002, Patricia faced another major tragedy in 2004. Her daughter and son-in-law passed away in a tragic road accident. In memory of her daughter, she started the restaurant named ‘Sandeepha’.
