Big headload falling from a passenger led to New Delhi Railway Station stampede: Ashwini Vaishnaw

A stampede at New Delhi Railway Station on February 15, resulting in 18 fatalities, was triggered by a passenger's dropped headload, according to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The incident occurred on a foot overbridge, causing a chain reaction of falling passengers. Indian Railways has disbursed ₹2 crore in compensation to victims and families.
