PSG and Morocco full-back Achraf Hakimi could face a jail term of up to 15 years after French prosecutors on Friday asked him to face trial for the rape of a woman. The former Inter Milan right-back is accused of raping a woman at his residence in 2023. The 26-year-old has denied the claim as a legal battle looms large.

Achraf Hakimi, who had made news by registering the lion's share of his properties and wealth under his mother's name and denying his ex a hefty alimony after a brief marriage, is said to have paid for the taxi in which the complainant reached his place on a night when his wife and children were away.

His counsel has confirmed that he did pay for the taxi that the complainant took. As his camp prepares for a serious legal battle, many are speaking about how the African star can afford the best legal teams in Paris. A highly sought-after player in the PSG lineup, the Real Madrid graduate is said to be among the highest-paid defenders in the world.

Achraf Hakimi's PSG salary breakdown

It was in February 2025 that Hakimi renewed his PSG contract, extending his stay for four more years. This contract extension made him one of the highest-paid players in France. Reports suggest he is the fifth-highest paid footballer at PSG, after Ousmane Dembélé, Lucas Hernández, Marquinhos, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

The renewed contract increased the defender's weekly earnings to £218,202 ($288,296/₹23,667,927) and his annual salary to an astonishing £11.3 million ($14.9 million/₹1,309,514,000). He earns substantial image-rights and bonus income, which can add over £82,100 ($109,000/₹9,410,000) per week, depending on his performance.

However, salaries are just one source of income for sports stars. Athlon Sports claimed that Hakimi's estimated net worth as of mid-2025 is around £18.95 million ($25 million/₹2,181,500,000) thanks to various endorsement deals with brands like Adidas, in addition to his PSG wage and bonuses.

He has partnerships with Samsung Galaxy and is a brand ambassador for Under Armour, a US sportswear and athletic performance brand. Since 2022, he has had a partnership with Moroccan telecommunication company Inwi and reportedly holds real estate investments through a company called Sashi Ha.

He is said to have endorsed brands that span across categories including electronics, fashion and apparel, and retail and consumer goods.
