Under this offer, for just Rs 1, customers are getting unlimited calling with a validity of 28 days, 2GB high-speed data per day and 100 SMS free every day. This offer is especially for new BSNL customers, which aims to make the company’s upgraded network reach as many people as possible.

BSNL’s new ‘Freedom Offer’

BSNL gave information about this offer on its official X (earlier Twitter) account where it has been named ‘True Digital Freedom’. If customers take a new BSNL SIM between August 1 and August 31, then on a recharge of just Rs 1, they will get all these facilities for a full 30 days. This plan includes unlimited calling across the country including national roaming, 2GB data daily and 100 SMS.

This offer is available for a limited time and has been implemented in all circles of the country. Customers can avail this plan by getting a new SIM card from any authorized center of BSNL for just Rs 1.

Attempts to increase ARPU amid declining user numbers

According to a recent report of TRAI, in the past months, lakhs of users from BSNL and Vi have ported to other companies. In view of the falling user base, BSNL has adopted this aggressive strategy so that its market share can be strengthened again.

The government has given BSNL the target of increasing the Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) but has also instructed that tariff prices should not be increased for this. Now review meetings will be held every month so that the improvement can be monitored.

Airtel’s new plan

Airtel has recently introduced its new plan of Rs 399. The validity of this plan is 28 days and it offers unlimited voice calling, high-speed data and free national roaming (except Jammu and Kashmir). Users get 2.5GB data and 100 SMS free every day. Also, this plan includes free subscription of JioHotstar for 28 days, which will also benefit OTT content lovers.
