Ex-minister to revive Lok Bhalai Party

Former Minister Balwant Singh Ramoowalia has announced plans to revive his native political outfit, the Lok Bhalai Party, by mobilising uneducated youth, labourers, small traders, religious leaders and intellectuals across the state.

In a strongly worded speech delivered at a public meeting in Ahmedgarh, Ramoowalia launched a scathing attack on the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), accusing its leadership of “shattering the dreams of a brighter future for Punjabis”. He criticised Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, suggesting he should “undergo political hibernation” to salvage his own political future, as “none of his decisions are currently being implemented.”

“Now that the Delhi leadership of AAP has virtually seized control of Punjab, instead of acting like a puppet, Bhagwant Singh Mann should simply go to sleep. It may be the only way to preserve what remains of his career,” said Ramoowalia.

He also targeted opposition parties, stating the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and the Congress had historically failed to safeguard the interests of Punjabis. “Even now, if they want to restore public faith, SAD and Congress leaders must come forward to support the Kisan Unions, who are currently the only hope for the state,” he asserted.
