New Expressway: Now the journey from Delhi to Jaipur will be completed in three hours, the last part of the expressway is also open
Now the journey from Delhi to Jaipur will be completed in just two and a half to three hours. Another part of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway has been opened for the general public. This 67 km corridor reduces the distance by 12 km.
New Expressway: Now, the distance between Delhi-NCR and Jaipur will not be a matter of distance, but of speed. The Bandikui-Jaipur Expressway, which is a part of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, has been opened to the public on July 15. According to the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), this new route has cleared the way to complete the journey from Delhi to Jaipur in just two and a half to three hours. Earlier, where the old route used to take time due to traffic jams and congestion, now this high-speed corridor is giving the passengers the gift of a fast and comfortable journey.
Old route, old problems
Earlier, travellers used to use the Agra-Jaipur highway, which is a four-lane highway and has small villages and towns along its 69-km route. Due to the crowd and traffic on this route, it used to take more than one and a half hours to cover a distance of 69 km. But now the new expressway has left these problems behind.
15,000 vehicles are making a new record every day
NHAI officials said that about 15,000 vehicles are running every day on this new 67 km long section of Bandikui-Jaipur. This route not only saved time but also reduced the distance from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport to Jaipur’s Bagrana Crossing by 12 km. Now this journey is being completed in three hours.
When the Sohna-Dausa section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway was inaugurated on February 12, 2023, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari had promised a three-hour journey between Delhi and Jaipur. But at that time the Bandikui-Jaipur section was not ready, due to which this target remained unfulfilled. Now with the opening of this new section, that dream has become a reality. This 67 km high-speed corridor not only saves time and distance, but also gives a smooth and safe experience to the passengers.
