Female govt teacher dies by suicide

A female teacher, working at the government primary school at Manakpur village in the Nangal area of Ropar district, died by suicide, alleging mental harassment by two of her colleagues at the workplace.She left behind a suicide note in which she has blamed the two teachers and pushing her towards the extreme step.

The body of Mansvi Sharma was recovered from the canal near Ganguwal on Saturday.

Mansvi had gone missing on July 26 after leaving behind the suicide note at her residence, stating her intention to end her life.

According to the police, preliminary investigations suggested it to be a case of suicide. Nangal Station House Officer Simranjeet Singh confirmed that a case had been registered under Section 108 of the BNS. Based on the contents of the suicide note, two individuals have been named in the FIR, and the investigation in the case was on, he said.

However, no arrests have been made in the case by the police.
