Kannada actor from Kariya-2, Santhosh Balaraj, dies after suffering from jaundice

Sandalwood actor Santosh Balaraj, 34, died today at Apollo Hospital, Kumaraswamy layout, at around 9.30 a.m. 

He was admitted to the hospital last month after suffering from jaundice and was in the intensive care unit. He underwent treatment there for the condition. However, he was admitted to the hospital once again after falling ill and was in the intensive care unit.

He had contracted jaundice due to liver and kidney problems.  This week, reports said that his health had been critical and that he slipped into a coma due to the condition.                                                           

He was known for his roles in the films Kariya-2, Kempa, Ganapa, Berkeley and Satya. Balaraj was also the son of producer Anekal Balaraj.                                       He gained attention in the film industry through the movie `Ganapa`. 

Anekal Balaraj had produced the film Kariay, which starred Darshann. He introduced his son to the film industry in the movie’s second part. 

Anekal Balraj had died in a road accident in May 2022. He was hit by a speeding biker while crossing the road and suffered a severe head injury.
