This time the monsoon has performed brilliantly in Haryana. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), so far the state has received 21 percent more rain than normal. While 233 mm of rain should have fallen till August 5, this time 281 mm has been recorded. The highest rainfall in the state has been recorded in Yamunanagar (585.9 mm) and Mahendragarh (543.9 mm), while the lowest rainfall has been recorded in Kaithal (143.9 mm) and Jind (153.9 mm). The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Panchkula, Ambala and Yamunanagar.
Today, i.e. on August 6, 50 to 75 percent rain is expected in Faridabad, Gurugram, Palwal, Mewat, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Karnal, Panipat and Sonipat. There will be a slight decrease in rain on August 7 and the weather is expected to be clear in many districts, but heavy rain is expected again on August 8 and 9. On August 9, 75 to 100 percent rain is expected in many districts including Faridabad. Overall, the coming few days will be relaxing for the people of Faridabad and Delhi-NCR. There will be relief from the heat and this rain is also proving to be very beneficial for the farmers.
