Breaking: CM Dhami Conducts Aerial Survey as Uttarkashi Battles Aftermath of Cloudburst | ABP NEWS
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami remains in action, leading relief efforts after a devastating cloudburst struck Uttarkashi. Dhami conducted an aerial survey of the affected regions and is personally monitoring operations from the control room. The cloudburst hit multiple locations — including Dharali, Harsil, and Suki Top — triggering flash floods and landslides. Within just 34 seconds, a deadly wave of debris and floodwater wreaked havoc, sweeping away everything in its path. Video footage shows massive torrents resembling a destructive monster engulfing homes and infrastructure. Rescue operations are underway in full swing, with the Army, ITBP, NDRF, and SDRF deployed. Despite the efforts, bad weather and damaged roads are severely hampering relief work. Chief Minister Dhami has taken direct control, holding continuous meetings with disaster experts and local officials. District Magistrate Prashant Arya confirmed that over 400 people have been safely evacuated, and no official casualty count has been confirmed yet. However, several areas remain cut off, and communication with some villages is still pending. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued more rain warnings, raising fears of additional landslides. The situation remains tense, but relief teams continue to battle the odds.
