Breaking: Heavy Rain in Uttarakhand Causes Havoc; Schools Closed in Five Districts | ABP NEWS
Continuous heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand has wreaked havoc, especially in Dharali, Uttarakhasi, where the damage is widespread. The weather department has warned that relief from the rains will remain minimal today. In response, the state government has ordered the closure of all schools from classes 1 to 12 in five districts: Uttarkashi, Almora, Pithoragarh, Chamoli, and Rudraprayag to ensure student safety. Meanwhile, in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, a government primary school building suddenly collapsed. A CCTV camera captured the entire incident where an elderly woman narrowly escaped the debris, saving her life. Locals accuse the authorities of negligence for not demolishing the unsafe structure earlier. In Delhi, police apprehended a gang disguised as sadhus involved in chain snatching and robbery. The accused were caught with stolen jewelry, disguises, and makeup kits, ending their spree in the Motigar area.
