Janhit: Pushkar Singh Dhami Monitors Relief Efforts After Dharali Cloudburst | ABP NEWS

A severe cloudburst has hit the Dharali region near Uttarkashi, causing significant disruption and posing challenges to rescue efforts. Continuous heavy rainfall has made it difficult for rescue teams to reach the affected areas, with many roads blocked and operations delayed. Currently, over 60 people have been rescued, but the situation remains critical as the teams struggle to access remote locations. Rescue teams are stuck due to ongoing rain, and authorities are working tirelessly to manage the situation. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has canceled all his engagements and is actively monitoring the situation from the disaster management control room, coordinating with officials to expedite relief operations. Despite severe weather, the state government has deployed around 160 police personnel and several rescue teams, including SDRF units, to assist in relief. Helicopters are ready for deployment from Chandigarh, but flights are delayed due to unfavorable weather conditions. Satellite phones are being used to communicate as mobile networks are down in the affected zones. Authorities continue to hope for a break in the weather to speed up rescue operations and ensure safety for all stranded residents.
