Anurag Thakur again disqualified for BFI elections, electoral college removes name from list

World Boxing had constituted an interim committee to oversee the daily operations of the federation. According to the interim committee headed by Fairuz Mohammad, Thakur's nomination is a violation of Article 20 (three) and (seven) of the BFI constitution. Due to this, former Sports Minister Anurag Thakur was once again disqualified from contesting the elections of the Boxing Federation of India (BFI).
