Sensex, Nifty Fall, Trump Withholds Trade Talks Post 50% Tariff Slap For India

The S&P BSE Sensex fell over 150 points at the open bell and was trading 124.29 points lower at 80,498.97 around 9:22 am. On the other hand, the Nifty50 was down 36.80 points to 24,559.35.

US President Donald Trump said there will be no trade talks with India till issues are resolved. The statement comes a day after Trump announced an additional tariff of 25% on Indian exports, bringing the total to 50%.
