Bad news for Israel after Netanyahu’s cabinet clears plan to take over Gaza as This powerful Muslim country plans massive action, not Pakistan, Saudi Arabia or Qatar

New Delhi: In a strong statement against Israel, Turkey’s Foreign Ministry has said that Israel should immediately stop its plan to attack Gaza and agree to a ceasefire. In addition to this, Turkey, under the leadership of Recep Tayyip Erdogan has also said that Israel should start negotiations for a two-state solution rather than going for war in Gaza. Here are all the details you need to know about the recent developments between Israel and Turkey on the Gaza issue.

What is Turkey planning to do?

In the recent development, Turkey’s Foreign Ministry has said that Turkey strongly condemns Israel’s plan to take control of Gaza city and calls upon the international community and the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to stop the implementation of Israel’s war plan in Gaza.

Israel’s security cabinet clears plan to take over Gaza City

Earlier, Israel’s Security Cabinet approved a plan to take over Gaza City, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said in a statement on Friday. Israel intended to take control of all of Gaza to “assure our security, remove Hamas there, enable the population to be free of Gaza,” Netanyahu said on Thursday, in an interview with Fox News ahead of the Security Cabinet meeting, Xinhua News Agency reported.

“We don’t want to keep it. We want to have a security perimeter. We want to hand it over to Arab forces that will govern it properly without threatening us and giving Gazans a good life,” he said.

Why UK is warning Israel to end war in Gaza?

In a significant development from last week, UK urged Israel to take substantive steps to end “the appalling situation in Gaza” and commit to a long-term and sustainable peace, or else the British government will recognise the State of Palestine in September to “protect the viability of the two-state solution.”

In a statement, Downing Street called on Israel to immediately allow the United Nations to resume the delivery of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza to prevent starvation, agree to a ceasefire, and clearly state that there will be no annexations in the West Bank.
