Shigetoshi Kotari passes away at 28 after tragic brain injury following fight against Yamato Hata

Shigetoshi Kotari, a Japanese boxer, has died. He collapsed after his OPBF super featherweight title fight against Yamato Hata in Tokyo. Doctors found a brain bleed. Emergency surgery was performed, but he did not recover. The Japan Boxing Commission will now sanction only 10-round OPBF title fights. The boxing world mourns Kotari's death. He was 28 years old.
