Dhadak 2 Box Office Collection Day 7: Siddhant Chaturvedi, Triptii Dimri’s film hits lowest, trails behind rivals, earns Rs….
When Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri’s Dhadak 2 hit theatres, the buzz suggested it could be the next big romance after Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s blockbuster. The Hindi remake of the Tamil hit Pariyerum Perumal was expected to win hearts and numbers. But while the praise flowed in, footfalls at the cinemas told a different story.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film’s seventh day collection dipped to ₹1 crore — its lowest so far. In its first week, Dhadak 2 has clocked a total of ₹16.44 crore (India net). Day one saw ₹3.5 crore, with a modest weekend rise, peaking on Sunday at ₹4.15 crore. By Monday, the momentum had slowed, and Thursday’s occupancy stood at 12% — with morning shows at 8.40%, afternoons at 13.99%, evenings at 10.92% and night shows at 14.68%.
Who’s stealing the spotlight?
The film’s performance hasn’t been helped by a crowded release calendar. Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur’s Son of Sardaar 2, the devotional animated film Mahavatar Narsimha, and Mohit Suri’s chart-topping romantic drama Saiyaara have all eaten into its audience share. Among them, Son of Sardaar 2 has taken the clear lead in the first week, leaving Dhadak 2 struggling to keep pace.
Can the weekend turn the tables?
With no major releases hitting theatres this Friday, Dhadak 2 has a rare window to pull in more viewers. Trade experts believe this weekend could decide whether the film stages a recovery or fades away quietly. Strong word of mouth remains its main weapon, but without the numbers, the fight is uphill.
About Dhahdak 2
Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures, Dhadak 2 serves as a spiritual sequel to the 2018 hit Dhadak. The film dives into the sensitive subject of casteism, blending social commentary with a love story. Alongside Siddhant and Triptii, the ensemble includes Zakir Hussain, Saurabh Sachdeva, Deeksha Joshi, Vipin Sharma, Saad Bilgrami, and Harish Khanna.
While its theme resonates and performances have been praised, Dhadak 2 now faces the ultimate test, proving that appreciation can still translate into ticket sales. The next few days will reveal whether it’s a slow burner or another case of Bollywood hype fizzling too soon.
