Threads of love
Love is that virtue which is free for all
No one remains in denial mode when it makes a call
To keep it blossoming and nurturing in our hearts
One should remain ready to cross any barrier or wall
The festival of rakhi brings revival of lovely bond
When with exchange of solemn promises siblings respond
A thread tied on the wrist of a brother
Makes him duty bound to take care of his sister lifelong
History is full of its relevance to tell
When tied even to an ememy, let even enemy to bend
The significance of this sacred thread is such
That it changed hearts where animosity was there to dwell
When tied by Draupdi to Lord Krishna at a point of time
He protected her honour without any waste time
Its spiritual significance in human life can never be ignored
By nurturing and upkeeping beautiful relations, these gets restored
A pious thread becomes the medium and mean
To celebrate this festival,a great enthusiasm is seen
To nurture and strengthen their lovely bond
Both brother and sister seem to be so keen

Threads of Relations
Threads so fine, yet strong as steel,
Woven in silence, made to feel,
A mother’s touch, a brother’s tease,
A friend who heals with quiet ease.
Some threads shine in golden hue,
Of love that’s deep, and always true.
Some are tangled, knotted tight,
From bitter words or silent night.
A glance exchanged across the room,
A memory wrapped in soft perfume,
An old friend’s call, a tearful smile,
A bond that stretched across the mile.
We tie, we break, we mend again,
Through joy, sorrow, loss and gain.
Not every thread is meant to last ,
But some stay stitched into our past.
So handle gently, weave with care,
These threads unseen, yet always there,
The soul’s own fabric, worn and spun,
In every heart-each thread, a sun.

Thread Between Us
The night was starry, as I wished to find,
Someone to listen – to ease my mind.
The stars, they shined as if they knew,
How to tie a thread between me and you.
With that thread, I tried to stay in balance,
Just like we did before birth, in silence.
Though time moved on and the wild winds blew,
The thread stayed strong – it tied me to you.
