Breaking News: PM Modi Flags Off 12th Vande Bharat Express: Nagpur to Pune | ABP NEWS
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated three new Vande Bharat trains, benefiting Karnataka, Maharashtra, Punjab, and Jammu & Kashmir. The longest among these is the 12th Vande Bharat Express, running between Ajni (Nagpur) and Pune in Maharashtra. This train covers a distance of 881 km in just 12 hours, making travel between northern and western Maharashtra much faster and more convenient. The train has eight coaches and can seat 590 passengers. Ticket prices are approximately ₹1500 for Chair Car and ₹3000 for Executive Chair Car. The route includes 10 stops and is expected to boost connectivity and economic growth between the key cities of Nagpur and Pune. Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India Nitin Gadkari were present at the launch event in Nagpur, where Fadnavis also rode the train with students. This development will benefit daily commuters, students, businessmen, and tourists, enhancing trade opportunities in the Vidarbha and western Maharashtra regions.
