3-day Patriotic Film Festival begins in Delhi
In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat-2047’ and the spirit of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, the three-day Patriotic Film Festival began on Monday at NFDC Siri Fort Auditorium in Delhi. The event was inaugurated by Delhi Minister for Art, Culture & Tourism Kapil Mishra.
Organised jointly by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and NFDC, the festival will run from August 11 to 13, featuring films such as Shahadat, Kranti, RRR and other acclaimed titles on the theme of patriotism. The opening day drew cinema lovers, students, cultural organisations and social activists from across the country. The venue was adorned in the Tricolour, with patriotic music setting a spirited tone.
Mishra said, “This is a remarkable initiative, bringing the message of patriotism to every citizen through cinema. Films are a powerful medium for national unity.” He urged Indian filmmakers to use their craft for nation-building.
Day one screenings spanned stories from the freedom struggle to modern India’s achievements, followed by interactive sessions with actors, directors and critics.
