BJP to honour 24 minority youth entrepreneurs

The BJP Minority Morcha will present the Dr Kalam Startup Youth Award 2.0 to 24 minority youth entrepreneurs from across the country at a ceremony to be held on Tuesday, coinciding with International Youth Day.

The event, part of the ‘Kalam Ko Salaam’ campaign, will take place in the Capital in the presence of BJP national president JP Nadda, national co-organisation general secretary Shiv Prakash, Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs George Kurien, UP Minister of State Danish Azad Ansari, BJP national general secretary Dushyant Gautam and Minority Morcha national president Jamal Siddiqui, among other senior leaders.

According to Siddiqui, the initiative was launched in 2024 on the ninth death anniversary of former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s push for a robust startup ecosystem under the ‘Startup India’ programme.

This year, 22,300 minority youths submitted nominations between July 16 and August 6 via social media. Winners were chosen from seven zones nationwide, with three awardees from each zone and three selected at the national level.
