Amitabh Bachchan's KBC 17 to host 3 Armed Forces officials for Independence Day special episode, Operation Sindoor discussed

An upcoming special episode in the 17th season of Amitabh Bachchan-hosted 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' (KBC) will feature three officials from the armed forces, two of whom were linked to India's Operation Sindoor, Sony Entertainment Television (SET) announced on Tuesday.
For its Independence Day Maha Utsav special episode airing on August 15, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi (Army), Wing Commander Vyomika Singh (Air Force), and Commander Prerna Deosthalee (Navy) will join Amitabh Bachchan in the hot seats.
In a teaser for the episode released on Tuesday, the Bollywood superstar can be seen welcoming the three officials, amid chants of "Bharat mata ki jai" (Victory to Mother India).
The three officials can also be seen describing the rationale behind Operation Sindoor, a series of precision strikes on terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan.
Speaking to Amitabh Bachchan, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi says:
"Pakistan yeh karta chala araha hai. Toh jawab dena banta tha sir. Isiliye Operation Sindoor ko plan kiya gaya" (Pakistan has been doing this for a while. So a response was necessary. Thus, Operation Sindoor was planned).
Colonel Sofiya Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh were key faces of India's media briefings on Operation Sindoor.
The operation was carried out in the early hours of May 7 this year to avenge the Pahalgam terror attack of April 22, which saw 26 people killed.
This led to 88-hour cross-border military conflict between India and Pakistan, which stopped after a ceasefire was reached on May 10.
While India has maintained that the ceasefire was achieved bilaterally due to Pakistan's request, Islamabad has upheld US President Donald Trump's version of Washington playing a part in negotiating a ceasefire through trade—a perspective India has denied.
