Breaking News: Tejashwi Yadav Accuses Election Commission of Bias, Alleges Voter ID Duplication by BJP Leaders | ABP NEWS
RJD leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav has made serious allegations against the Election Commission, accusing it of aiding the BJP in manipulating the electoral process ahead of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. In a press conference, Yadav claimed that BJP leaders and workers are being issued multiple EPIC (voter ID) numbers, enabling them to vote in the same constituency more than once. Yadav presented documents and images showing Muzaffarpur Mayor Nirmala Devi, a BJP leader and potential candidate, allegedly possessing two voter IDs within the same assembly constituency, with discrepancies in her age. He also alleged that her two brothers-in-law have duplicate voter IDs as well. Furthermore, Yadav accused the Election Commission of deleting or marking opposition voters as "shifted" or "untraceable," while allegedly protecting and enabling irregularities for BJP-affiliated individuals. He also pointed out that BJP’s Bihar in-charge Bhikhubhai Dalsaniya, who last voted in Gujarat in 2024, is now listed as a voter in Patna, suggesting fraudulent voter migration. Yadav claimed that the Election Commission uploaded voter data in heavy image file formats to deliberately restrict access and scrutiny by opposition parties. He vowed that the RJD and Mahagathbandhan will continue to fight for democratic integrity in Bihar and will not tolerate electoral fraud. He ended by warning that any dishonesty by BJP or the Election Commission will be met with strong opposition and legal challenges.
