What was written on the walls of Puri Jagganath Temple? PM Modi’s name scrawled

A ‘warning message’ scrawled on a small temple near Odisha’s Puri Jagannath Temple triggered panic on Wednesday. The scrawling was found on the walls of the Maa Budhi Thakurani temple located in Bali Sahi, which is situated near the 12th-century shrine.
The message read: “'Terrorists will demolish the Srimandir. Call me, or else there will be destruction.” There were also many phone numbers written on the wall, along with words such as 'PM Modi', 'Delhi', according to local reports. The messages were in the Oriya language.
After locals noted the threat message, senior police officials were alerted. Puri SP Pinak Mishra told PTI that the initial probe revealed the messages were written on Tuesday night. “We have taken cognisance of the matter and are taking it very seriously. We have got some information, and police teams are being formed to arrest those who are behind such a threat,” he said.
SP Mishra added that CCTVs have been installed at several places. “Security guards have also been deployed. Investigation is underway on a war footing," the SP said.

This is not the first time that concerns have been raised over the security of the Jagannath temple. The Union Home Ministry and the National Security Guard (NSG) have recommended tightening security several times before, but according to reports, many CCTV cameras on the Parikrama Path are still not working.
