Virat Kohli preparing to play for the Australia ODIs? Social media activity of the cricketer sets rumour mills abuzz

A fresh round of speculation about Virat Kohli being a part of the Australia ODIs is doing the rounds.

A recent post by a fan on Instagram, which said  'Virat Kohli prepping for the Aussie ODIs!' was liked by the cricketer, setting the rumour mills abuzz yet again.

It was widely discussed among the fans about his retirement from the ODI series soon, following his decision to quit T20 and Test cricket formats over the last 12 months.

The Instagram post from a fan account shows Virat alongside Gujarat Titans assistant coach Naeem Amin. His latest social media activity has driven fans into a frenzy over the speculation of him playing the Australian ODIs.

Recently, former captain Sourav Ganguly, when asked about the retirement speculations of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, chose to sit on the fence, although he did deny rumours of their possible retirements.

"It's difficult to say. Whoever does well will play. If they do well, they should continue. Kohli's one-day record is phenomenal, even Rohit Sharma's. Both of them are phenomenal in white-ball cricket," said Ganguly as quoted by the PTI during the AWL Agri Business Ltd Event.

India's next ODI assignment is in October, when they travel to Australia for a three-match series and that will be followed by a home series against South Africa.
