Coolie Live Updates: Rajinikanth’s massy entry steals the show, Aamir Khan’s cameo sends fans into frenzy

Finally, the wait is over as the much-anticipated movie of the year – Coolie – featuring South’s Thalaiva aka Rajinikanth has finally been released on the big screens today (August 14, 2025). Helmed by ace director Lokesh Kanagaraj, with Aamir Khan dropping in for a cameo, Rajinikanth’s Coolie has taken over fans. The craze went so high for the film that the tickets were sold for as high as Rs 4,500! Be it the advance booking or the urge to catch the first-day first-show (FDFS).

However, this Friday is not going to be an ordinary weekend, as another pan-India release – War 2 – is also set to release on the same day. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the movie will feature Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani in key roles. With two big-budget and much-awaited movies hitting the big screen, it will be interesting to witness who will dominate the box office.
