Mahadangal: 'Vote Chori' or Political Drama? Bihar Election Dispute Deepens | ABP NEWS
Political tensions in Bihar are escalating sharply ahead of the 2025 elections, with allegations flying thick and fast over the Election Commission’s (EC) actions. In a fiery press conference, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav accused the EC of working under BJP's influence, claiming that genuine voters are being unfairly removed from the voter list. Tejashwi even suggested that he and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will decide whether to contest the elections after gauging public sentiment during their joint yatra starting August 17. Opposition parties have united in slamming the EC, accusing it of voter suppression through the controversial SIR (Special Identification Review) process. Meanwhile, the BJP has countered these claims, stating that the opposition is anticipating defeat and is therefore spreading misinformation. Amidst the heated rhetoric, the matter is being heard in the Supreme Court. Petitioners argue that the EC is acting in undue haste and without proper scrutiny. However, the court has yet to issue a verdict or halt the voter list revision process. With both sides locked in a fierce battle, key questions emerge: Are voters truly being silenced? Or is this political noise aimed at gaining public sympathy?
